Parabilis Space Technologies, Inc. is an SBA-certified, HUBZone small business with offices located in San Marcos, California. Parabilis’ areas of expertise include propulsion systems and vehicles, small satellite systems and buses, and systems integration. Parabilis operates a propulsion test facility in Lakeside, CA permitted for numerous fuels and oxidizers. Parabilis is one of the few companies in the world that has both propulsion and satellite capabilities under one roof.
Parabilis engineers have extensive experience conceptualizing, designing, building, testing, and flying affordable propulsion systems and launch vehicles for manned and unmanned spaceflight. Our propulsion expertise ranges from small liquid bi-propellant RCS thrusters, to a high-performance H2O2/polymer fueled upper-stage, to larger hybrid launch vehicles with >65,000 lbs. of thrust. Our team is committed to providing affordable space access that will help catalyze the emerging low-cost New Space industries.
Propulsion Test Facility
Parabilis operates a propulsion test facility, uniquely-located in Lakeside, CA. Our facility is permitted for numerous propellants and oxidizers, and is capable of vertical and horizontal test fires. The site has a large remote command room, two robust data acquisition and control systems with expansion capabilities, enclosed storage and assembly areas, water deluge system, and secure gating with 24/7 monitoring. The Lakeside Test Facility is conveniently located 30 minutes from the San Diego Airport, and is only 15 minutes away from supplies, equipment, restaurants, hotels, and other amenities. More than 100 hot fire and cold flows have been performed at this facility from 100 lbf to 75,000 lbf.
Small Satellite Development and Systems Integration
Parabilis engineers have extensive experience designing, testing, assembling, and integrating small-sat buses and structures, and can design a custom bus for any payload. Parabilis personnel provided the technical leadership for two 6U Perseus-M satellite buses, the power systems engineering and flight support for the successful CYGNSS constellation of eight smallsats, and (most recently) the assembly, systems integration, assembly, test, commissioning, and launch prep for the Landmapper smallsat constellation for AstroDigital.
Parabilis’ manufacturing capabilities include basic tooling manufacturing, oxygen/nitrous system assembly, clean room assembly, life cycle testing, and environmental testing.
Parabilis engineers are fluent in a variety of analytical tools, including tools for trajectory and performance optimization, computational fluid dynamics analysis, fluid and propulsion simulation, finite element structural analysis, and post-test data processing analysis.
