Parabilis Space Technologies, Inc. of San Marcos, CA announced that it has signed an agreement with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory to conduct propulsion-related tests of the fuel/oxidizer combination intended for a Mars Ascent Vehicle (MAV) to be used in a future sample return mission. Parabilis will design and construct the test article, and perform a series of cold flow and hot fire tests at its recently commissioned test facility in Lakeside, CA. “Parabilis is very happy to partner with JPL on this effort, and thrilled to be part of JPL’s plans to travel to Mars and return a sample to Earth,” said Parabilis CEO David Streich. The tests are scheduled to begin in August of 2016.
