Parabilis Space Technologies, Inc. of San Marcos, CA announced that it entered into an agreement to provide engineering for the Landmapper B-C, a constellation of ten broad coverage satellites (weighing 10kg each) developed by Astro Digital in Mountain View, CA. The Landmapper B-C system will provide daily imaging of agricultural land at 22 meters resolution, providing extensive data for change analysis and trend identification. Parabilis will provide system engineering, commissioning, integration/test, and flight operations services for this important program. “We are thrilled to be working with Astro Digital,” said Terrance Yee, Chief Satellite Engineer for Parabilis. “The daily earth coverage and high-resolution imaging provided by their system is unprecedented in the commercial market, and a potential game-changer.” Landmapper B-C satellites are expected to launch starting in July of 2017.
